Adam Scott Purcell, 32, of Jonestown, Cass Twp., passed away Sunday, March 6, at his home.

Adam was born in Pottsville on Nov. 4, 1989, a son of Susan L. (Holt) and Scott M. Purcell.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lynn Pielacha.

In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by a son, Elliott Purcell; two brothers, Ryan and Hunter Purcell. He is also survived by his grandparents, Pete and Theresa Purcell, Joseph and Judy Holt and Jake Pielacha; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins.

Adam was a 2009 graduate of Minersville Area High School and also a member of the Newtown Fish & Game Club.

Adam was a kind, gentle and polite person with a beautiful smile who loved to play the guitar and sing to anyone who would listen. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed taking his son to those special fishing holes. He loved to ride his motorcycle, but most of all, he loved spending time with his son, Elliott, who was his pride and joy. Adam will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

All services shall be at the convenience of the family. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, is entrusted with the arrangements.
