I have so many fond memories of Adam; from his times as a student at Taylor to when we hired him on as a Teacher and Coach at his beloved high school.Β Adam had a contagious smile and positive spirit.Β He truly LOVED working with our kids in the classroom and on the field.Β We miss you Adam!

One of my best memories all these years later....
Adam and I played football together at Taylor High School. The year is 2004 and it was the first game of our junior varsity season against Bush High School. We both played on the offensive line together and right at the end of the 1st quarter he hurts his wrist and ends up missing the remainder of the game. I move over to his position and he gives me a look before the next play, basically saying "if you get my brother hurt, I'll hurt you." His brother was the quarterback at the time. Sure enough a few plays later, I blow a blocking assignment and his brother takes a big sack. Needless to say he's pretty red faced and furious at this point. The game ends up going pretty wll, we win, and after the game he's still worked up but comes up to me, puts his arm around me and tells me I wasn't too bad and we'll correct the errors in practice. Sure enough the very next day he's sitting right next to me in the film room as we're watching the game, and going over every detail. And that was Adam in a nutshell, tough but a genuine softy at the same time.Β
Miss you, Adam.

He was a valuable member of our department. We shared an after school meeting every day in the overlook at the top of the stairs. Not required, we just both felt compelled to come out of our rooms and see the kids out each day.Β
