Adam's obituary

In loving memory of Adam Jackson, we celebrate a remarkable life that touched the hearts of many.

Adam, a lifelong learner and an incredible son and brother, passed away to be with the Lord on July 12, 2023, at the age of 31.

Adam was born in Nagoya, Japan to Julie and Michael Jackson and was affectionately referred to as "AdamKoon" (a Japanese term for boy children).

He grew up in Northglenn, Colorado, and graduated from Mountain Range High School in 2009. He developed a strong passion for becoming a massage therapist, driven by his desire to help people. Adam pursued his dreams and obtained his credentials from the Denver School of Massage Therapy.

Music was an integral part of Adam's life. He had a deep love for singing and went on to learn multiple instruments including drums, guitar, and piano. Sports also held a special place in his heart, especially pickelball, he played soccer during his youth and participated in varsity tennis during his senior year. Adam found solace in writing poetry, creating songs, and indulging in the world of audiobooks, often enjoying these activities while spending time on his porch or taking walks with his beloved dog, Samantha.

Adam's appreciation for nature extended to his fondness for birds, diligently ensuring they were well fed each day. His infectious smile and kind-hearted nature made everyone who encountered him realize that he was truly special. Adam had a zest for life and was always driven to achieve his goals. At the time of his passing, he was enrolled in a program to become a "life coach," reflecting his unwavering dedication to personal growth. His diverse talents included skills in scroll saw, fire poi, writing, and reading. He excelled in athletics, practiced yoga, and possessed expertise in massage therapy, music, and playing various instruments. Adam had a discerning taste for tea, essential oils, and all things that brought pleasant aromas into his life. In December 2022, Adam committed himself to his faith and was baptized, allowing him to radiate God's light through his actions.

Adam is survived by his mother, Julie Jackson, and his stepdad, Barry Wilkerson, as well as his father, Michael Jackson, and his stepmom, M.J. Jackson. He will forever be remembered by his brothers and their wives, Aaron and Kyndall Jackson, and  Austin and Brook Jackson. He also leaves behind his stepbrothers, Justin Wilkerson and Tom Wilkerson, stepsister Kassi Wilkerson, and half-sisters Sarah and Isabella Jackson. Adam's grandparents, Eldon and Ardyce Buntrock, and Francis Rawson, held a special place in his heart. He will be dearly missed by his uncles & aunts Don Buntrock, Deryn and Julia Buntrock, Sandy and George Brown, and his cousin, Jackson Brown.

Adam's legacy includes his bravery as he faced his battle with mental illness of which he strived every day to be the best version of himself. Adam lived with purpose and such intentionality to focus on the man he aspired to be. As we remember his infectious smile, his passion for life, and his unwavering commitment to family, any contributions made in Adam’s name to centers that support individuals with mental illness would be greatly appreciated. His impact will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.

We are hosting a Celebration Service of Adam's life on Saturday July 29th at 11AM at our home church - Real Life Church in Grove, OK. We would love for you to celebrate him with us. The family would prefer colorful attire for the ceremony rather than the traditional all black attire as we want to honor Adam's vibrant zest for life.

If you'd like to send flowers, we would love them, please do so by contacting either of these local flower shops. They will coordinate delivery to the church for the celebration service:
