I grew up down the street from Adam and like most kids in the neighborhood Paula taught me how to swim in their backyard pool.  Our paths crossed several times growing up but it wasn’t until they crossed again in college that we became friends.  It was crazy and fun and a lot of the memories are muddy at best.  

I’m saddened to hear about Adam.  He touched so much of us with his talents and joy.  Love and light to the Hart family.

Adam made the soundtrack to this video which was screened at the first annual Sheridan Film Festival and later uploaded to YouTube.  Please, listen to the playful joy in it, it is genius and so alive.  I had asked Adam to make the soundtrack because I knew he had something going on with manipulating sound and because he was a friend and fixture at the Brothers Coffee open mic nights in the 2000s and was a gifted musician.  He was more than that, if you had been involved with that “scene” you would know what I mean, he was a key personality in what was happening and things were happening.  You can watch and hear some of Adam’s performances as a solo performer and with Jack Ried’s Razor City Wranglers on YouTube at the wailinburnin channel on the GAPATS playlist, a series of 6 one half hour TV shows made under grant from the Campbell County Rec Department, aired on public TV in 2006 (before YouTube was available for videos longer than ten minutes). GAPATS was: the Gillette Area Performing Arts Television  Show.  This was a particularly happy and creative time in Adam’s life I’m sure.  He had a profound impact during his life in the most quiet and subtle way, never demanding in his art, always a welcoming and peace giving person.  He will be missed but his impact was such that I and I am quite sure, others who knew him, will never feel that he is gone.  All the love in the World to all who knew Adam.
