I didn't meet Adam until, by chance, I stumbled upon him within a video game social space: Destiny 2, the Tower. The character he was playing as was performing a dance animation, one that I'd never seen before and, subsequently, had me laughing to the point that I had to ask what it was. We immediately hit off a great friendship from discussions on a variety of topics about the game and life in general, at great length. He even was kind enough to invite me into his clan/ group of steady players where I was met by even more people with personalities as great as him. That's the person he was, a linchpin that attracted other like-minded individuals to come and stay together and achieve a singular goal: become better players, better people.

You see, gaming is one of my coping mechanisms and has been for some time. For reasons I won't get into, as this is about Adam and not me, I'd been away from the game for many years and, arguably, some of my better personal characteristics had suffered because of that break. I came back and knew very little about the myriad changes the game had underwent some two years ago, and it was a struggle to find enjoyment doing something I was once passionate about. It was directly because of Adam, his patience, his passion for helping others, and his positive energy that I was able to not only get back into the game and rediscovering my love for it, but excel at it and find more peace and relaxation in life in general. In other words, Adam helped me re-tune my coping mechanism and be comfortable in my own skin again. I was and still am, beyond humbled by how generous and wholesome of a human being he was.

It's going to take some time, as it always does when we lose people we love, to get back on track after losing his presence. I hope this provides some comfort to his family and friends knowing that myself and many of us in his Destiny 2 clan, are and have mourned his passing with broken hearts. We loved Adam so very much. The guy was all heart and if there is anything I could ever do to help any of you, I want to extend the same courtesy he did with me. If you ever need. Love you all, prayers and thoughts with you during this time and onward in your lives.
