I will never forget that sweet young man who was just looking for someone to play WORDS with.  I always looked forward to seeing Alkotmanny on my play list…he was the best player I ever played. Adam is still there with you…watching over you, Jackson and Emily. He loved his family too much to be anywhere else!
We set up the ping pong table last week in the basement.  I thought of when Adam, Mike and Mark all played ping pong and worked themselves to a sweat!! Uncle John said it was so fun watching them.  It was just wonderful to be together.  Been thinking of Adam today and the blessing he was and will continue to be to Kristen and the kids. We wouldn't have Jackson and Emily if it weren't for him, and I am so grateful he was and is part of our family.

Adam was determined to do well for his customers.  He had a large heart and was very smart.  He was a great father and the whole McKesson team misses him.  He was a key contributor and very sharp and  analytical for our McK team.  I can remember him clearly at team events and our Xmas team events like collecting items for homeless and making donation bags /kits.

A white elephant exchange Adam seemed to enjoy at these events.  The whole McK team misses him as we think about our team loss often with Adam being gone and for his family.

I can’t believe it’s been a year!  Adam was such a polite and thoughtful Words player…he is surely missed by everyone!!!  We keep him and his beautiful family in our prayers each day!!!
I regularly think of Adam every time I drive by a McKesson distribution center near my home. Then I usually remember the last time he, Kristen and Jackson visited and how wonderful it was.
I went to Harbor View Elementary and CdM HS with Adam.
I was just reading about St. Joseph (the patron saint of departing souls) and I randomly thought of Adam.
So I Google him and found this.
God bless your family and St. Joseph Ora Pro Nobis.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Kristen and the family. Adam was an amazing man. Always quick with a joke or a prank, but always with a smile and good fun. He was a great friend and will be missed.
In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Adam?"
My sincere condolences to Adam’s family and close friends. Adam was a wonderful guy. I attended the “rival” high school across the bay but had many friends connected to Adam, and spent some time with him in high school and thereafter. His wit, sharp mind (especially for politics and philosophy) and inclusive nature will always stick out in my mind. I’m grateful to have known him for a time and had some great conversations! I can see that he was probably a wonderful father.

Again, my sincere condolences.

It looked like Adam would be a great and loving Dad someday... ❤️
I was trying to think of any fraternity stories (that I could share here anyways), but I think through all the memories what stands out about the times with Adam is how unequivocally positive, supportive, and welcoming he was. Never had a bad word to say about anyone else. Always happy to have a good time with whoever he happened to be hanging out with.

I'm saddened to hear of his passing because of all he left behind, but I am also glad to see by the comments the positive impact he had on other people's lives through the years.
It breaks my heart to hear this awful news. Adam was a good guy and will be missed. 3106143089
Hi Kristen,
I can’t imagine how you will fill the huge hole in your heart. I know that Jackson and Emily will help with that. Ken & I are so sorry for your loss and we send our hugs to you, Jackson and Emily.

“Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal but love leaves memories no one can steal.”
God bless your sweet breaking hearts! In my life I've found a little grace in this poem. Although the words from your friends and family are the most beautiful, wrapping you with their love. Sending mine too, ~AJ
“A rose once grew”
Near shady wall a rose once grew
Budded and blossomed in God’s free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew
Shedding its sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevices length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new
Breathing its fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint or fail,
Nay, let us faith and hope receive,
The rose still grows beyond the wall.
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in the days of yore
Just as it did on the other side
Just as it will forever more.

I was meeting my daughter in Africa at a game lodge in Zimbabwe where we met David travelling with his son Adam. I think it was the summer of 1997 and we got talking. It was unusual to meet young Americans travelling in Africa with their fathers at an age when young boys are having fun with friends before college. David and Adam were different and we got to know them on that trip. They clearly had a wonderful relationship; as an educator I really value the importance of travel for young people and I could see how they both valued it too and David's careful naturing so that his son would understand the world as part of his growth as a young man. I found David on FB some years later and we kept in touch. David shared his pride in Adam's achievements and of course when David became a grandfather as my daughter Gemma had both my grandsons.
What fantastic memories father and son made together and what love is there. The stories you will tell your grandchildren David and perhaps one day some travelling. My heartfelt wishes to all the family.
Phyllis, Gemma and Dan.

Prayers and condolences to the Dobyns family. May the Good Lord show His kindness in abundance to you as you grieve.

Kent and I are so saddened by your loss. Adam's legacy will be evident in Jackson and Emily as they grow up. He will be alive in the memories you share with them.
We will truly miss our Brains of Bakersfield teammate. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with your family!
