I remember meeting Sra. Ruhlen that first week of Spanish III in sophomore year. As a tennis fan, I almost didn't believe her when she told me her brother was #1 in the world for his age bracket in doubles! Of course, I looked it up later that day and it was true.. we bonded over our love for the sport and there was never a day when she didn't have a smile on her face. Teaching was her passion and we all felt like her kids in the classroom. She will be missed by everyone who had a chance to interact with her at Aliso Niguel High School.

Ada brought so much joy to the courts. She was full of life… radiant, strong, and always kind!

I met Ada on the pickleball courts at Laguna Regional, where she and Rich would routinely (and joyfully) wipe the floor on me! She played with fire… a petite powerhouse who could generate more force and finesse than players twice her size. She laughed at my bad jokes like they were actually funny, and always had something kind to say, even if we’d just been whooped. She was beautiful in every sense of the word. A bright light on the court,

We love you, Ada. Thank you for the laughs, the kindness, and the games I’ll never forget!

Rest in Peace, Señora😢 Thank …
