Abigail's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Abigail "Abby" Ortiz, affectionately known as Abby, on May 8, 2025. Born in 2002, Abigail touched the lives of many throughout her brief yet meaningful time on this earth. A beacon of joy and sincerity, she will forever be remembered for her vibrant personality that was as captivating as her favorite color, purple.
Abigail's love for life was clearly evident in her passion for her favorite things. She enjoyed the simple pleasure of a comforting plate of spaghetti and meatballs, and she couldn't hide her fondness for the music of Brenton Wood. Her eyes would light up at the mention of the movie Free Willy, which she never tired of watching. In her relaxation time, California was her go-to vacation spot, a place she felt at peace with herself.
Known for her radiant and uplifting personality, Abby was an embodiment of happiness, love, and care. She was full of life, a life which she delighted in sharing with others. She faced a great loss in 2019 with the death of her Mother, yet she remained strong, channeling her energies into spreading love and positivity.
In 2023, Abigail's joy knew no bounds as she welcomed a child into the world. This brought a new dimension to her life, further deepening her capacity for empathy and kindness. These were the values she held dear and hoped to pass on to the world: kindness above all else.
The sudden loss of Abigail to addiction is tragic and underscores the importance of her lessons of kindness and understanding. Her legacy of kindness continues to resonate with everyone who knew her, a testament to the remarkable woman she was. Abigail Ortiz's radiant spirit and generous heart have left an indelible mark on all of us, and though she is no longer with us, her memory continues to inspire.
Abigail will be deeply missed, but she will never be forgotten. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, her love, and the precious moments she gifted to us. We honor Abigail's memory by living out her message of kindness in our daily lives. At this time there will be no services due to the location of family.
