I was absolutely heartbroken when I heard the news of Aleem chacha's passing.
My memories with Aleem chacha go as far back as I can remember. As a kid growing up in India, I was always excited for his visit from the states. He was always so happy to see us and it was a lot of fun as he would never forget to bring us chocolates and our favorite toys.
Aleem chacha touched a lot of people’s lives, including mine and was my inspiration. He inspired me to come to the US. I always looked up to him and asked for his advice on different matters and he would always be very patient with me. He was a very practical person and had an impressive and infectious personality.
I will always cherish the memories I have had with him, especially in the last 5.5 years. All the sightseeing and boat rides in San Diego, walks to the beach, cycling for miles, trying different foods and the awesome conversations on almost anything that’s happening in the world. He was so much fun to hang out with. He was intelligent, generous, loving and kind hearted. I feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to spend more time with him.
His passing away is a huge loss to me and the family. I loved him very much and the void he left can never be filled. He was my mentor, he was my critic, he was my uncle, he was my friend! He was truly a class act and will be deeply missed.
