Aaron's obituary
Aaron Glenn Ruta passed away on March 9, 2025, in Rochester, New York after fighting cancer for more than 5 years. Born on September 7, 1978, in Brockport, New York, Aaron lived a life marked by dedication to family, hard work, and a love for the outdoors.
A graduate of Gates-Chili High School in 1996, Aaron pursued higher education at Fredonia, earning a degree in 2000. He started his career in landscaping before joining Erie Home, where his strong work ethic and commitment were evident to colleagues and clients alike, eventually becoming a company Vice-President.
Beyond his professional life, Aaron found joy in nature and sports. He had a deep passion for soccer and spent countless hours fishing and enjoying time at the lake house—places that brought him peace and happiness.
Aaron is survived by his wife and children, Kate, Blaise, and Saige; parents, Glenn and Kandy; brothers, Ryan (Leslie and son Reece) and Jason (Jen and daughter Mackenzie); and grandmother, Dorine Neroni-Walsh. On his wife's side: Barbara Montenaro and Bob Leisenring, Kara Germano (children Ethan, Blake, and Avery), and Edith Montenaro. He was predeceased by his grandparents; Joe and Rose Ruta, Ken and Rita Walsh; and wife's father, Dave McCumber.
Aaron’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
