Aaron's obituary
Aaron Kerlin died suddenly Sunday September 19th at his home in Long Beach Mississippi. He was 59.
Aaron was born in Sylvania, OH. He graduated from Sylvania Northview Highschool and lived in the greater Toledo area until 1989, when he moved to Gulfport, MS with his first wife, Sharon Kerlin.
In 2011, Aaron graduated from MS Gulf Coast Community College with an associate's in Electrical Technology. Aaron worked at the Chemours plant in Delisle and was an industrial maintenance mechanic and electrician all his life. He was also a skilled carpenter and craftsman who made many unique carpentry and metalwork gifts for family over the years.
Aaron was a respected member of the coastal recovery community and remained in recovery from drugs and alcohol for over 40 years.
Aaron was a hard-working father and family man known for going completely out of his way to help others. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as music, learning, and riding his motorcycle. He endeavoured to live his life according to the Four Absolutes of Alcoholics Anonymous: Honesty, Purity, Unselfishness, and Love.
Aaron is survived by his partner Helene Levine; mother Anna Kerlin; sisters Becky Kerlin-Hyatt, Rachel Kerlin, and Susan Kerlin; brother Mark Kerlin; daughters Amanda Sarrubbo and Elizabeth Kerlin; and sons John Keller Jr., Corey Otto, and Jacob Levine. He is proceeded in death by his father Stephen W. Kerlin, brother Timothy A. Kerlin, and nephew Bruce C. Simon.
