Aafiya Raval, 46, of Greenville, SC, passed away on October 29, 2022, after surrendering to a long battle with depression.

Aafiya, born on September 6, 1976 to Bhavya and Aanjaneya Raval in An-Nabek, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. As a child, she was well-loved for her playful nature and sense of humour. Aafiya went on to graduate from the local girl's school in 1993 as an honor student. After graduating from school, Aafiya went on to pursue a degree in Nursing.

Aafiya fell in love with helping those in need, which kicked off a long and successful career in healthcare. In 1995, she met Arif Himaya. The couple welcomed their only child, Nadia, in 2004. Aafiya and her family immigrated to the USA thereafter for better opportunities. Aafiya and Arif separated in 2005. Aafiya was a fiercely dedicated mother to her daughter, who would go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Aafiya, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Aafiya was predeceased by Jai Aanjaneya, Veer Ambani, and Aashritha Raval Ambani. She is survived by her daughter, Nadia Himaya, and her two parents.
