Dad has been a homebody for the last few years and lived alone up until his cancer diagnosis towards the end of January, and he has said multiple times since his admittance to the facility that he is extremely impressed as well. I would highly recommend the SECU Smithfield hospice to anyone who has to help make a decision in these circumstances. I can safely say that so far , they have knocked it out of the park so far. I would also like to thank all of the staff there who have been so helpful. Everyone is wonderful. I have always judged a care facility by walking in the door and taking a sniff. If it smells nasty , it usually is nasty. They have none of that. If there was a sixth star, I would give it to them. Again, this is just my opinion, but if I was in the same situation myself, I would want to go there because the care team is top notch. Read less

Brenda Hill — It was clean, well maintained, offered kitchen facilities, just like living at home. Unfortunately we never used it as my husband passed away immediately

Athena — The facility is a little over 10yrs. The atmosphere was like being at home. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Staff very professional and courteous. Very accommodating. Really glad loved one was there.
