Good evening, I looked back on the nurses page to find information about hospice care. My Mom was on Lumicare Hospice and it was terrible. We had to ask them to revoke their service. She has lived in Assisted Living at Westchester Village in Lenexa, Kansas . Friday she became extremely dehydrated and fell and broke her pelvis and humerus. She is in Overland Park Regional Hospital and will probably be discharged tomorrow. We will need to find another hospice company that will be competent and actually do what they say they will and do it accurately. She will go to a skilled nursing facility, but Westchester will have a bed in their nursing area on Thursday, so we hope to get her moved back there.
Unfortunately, she has Blue Cross Blue Shield Advantage plan.
