We used Compassis when my father was dying. I was extremely pleased with he care he and my family received. On his final day, Allison, one of the nurses, stayed with us all day because she could tell it was coming. She made what was a very difficult time much easier by taking on the burden of leadership. What a blessing!

I am currently working with this hospice agency. I absolutely love all of the personalities I have came in contact with over the last 3 months but their personalities are not what is keeping my loved one alive and thriving......I am!!!
To stay "unknown" because we are currently still under their "care" (or money making scheme, whichever you prefer) while interviewing other hospice providers I will not state what we as a family have actually been through with examples. What I will say is that this is a sorry as hell company!!! Run fast!!! My loved ones condition is not what the big stressors there is right now, it's that their condition is being unmanaged by the palliative care team (palliative meaning hospice, meaning to provide comfort and pain free lifestyle while awaiting death)
No matter what issue I bring to "light" about the care of my loved one that I am caring for, its is told "I will speak to the doctor at so and so day and let you know" , that is, if it is not "put off until a so and so day" (weeks away)
The only answers or help I receive is by calling the 24 hour line, even then not much help is offered. Our lives have been put thru hell due to thei negligence!! We can't get any help, any answers, that they promise in those begining visits that "they are here for our every need, anytime we need them"
I've thought many times "maybe this nurse, maybe this supervisor will help me" I've been wrong so many time I truly question my own sanity!
I know twice a CNA has come out to give a shower, was unable to and still wrote down and had me sign off on the lie that she did in fact give them a bath!
There is absolutely NO SUPPORT, NO HELP, NO GUIDANCE with this company!
It truly is the best "show" that you've ever seen!
I'd love nothing more than to give exact details but due to being a current patient, that is impossible!
Once my love one is released from their care I will do a review from everything A to Z so that u are fully aware that this is a company that u wanna place your sneakers up and run as fast as possible from.
They've got me as the good hearted caretaker that wanted to do right by my loved one to a near heart attack status every day because their lack of help or communication.
Please dont let your loved one take his or her last breath with this uncaring company....if I find a better one in my interviews over the next few days I will come out of hiding and let u know the company that made all the difference in our lives!
I wish you luck, but for what u are facing and going thru...I wish u a good team that really cares about what "palliative care" truly is...compassus savannah/hinesville IS NOT WHERE LOVE IS AT!!!
I wish u a better experience than our family has had ❤
Love and light and healing thoughts your way!

WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Compassus prescribed very strong meds to my mother last night who was walking and communicating fine yesterday afternoon. After she was HEAVILY medicated last night, she was found unresponsive and having trouble breathing this morning. Their own nurses admitted she was overdosed. She is now at Memorial Hospital ER and needs to be on a ventilator to survive. All this happens under their care and their nurse manager defends their company saying what they did was right. On top of that, they go to the hospital and have us sign a release so they don't have to care for her anymore after they just about killed her! These are the facts and can be proven by witnesses and documentation!

As a pastor I deal with a lot of hospice organizations. By far this is the most compassionate caring group I have ever had dealings with. If you find yourself in need of hospice care I would highly recommend these wonderful caring people.
