The medical director/owner/ physician is a wealth of information and a caring & devoted professional. Sadly the staff he entrusts to run the business will eventually end the company. There are some good people there who do care, but the amount of work that's expected is not realistic. Seeing patients is not the issue: it is the HOURS of charting that drove me away. The hiring manager states often and loudly (for all to hear!) "anytime you need help, I am here!" yet when approached for help the learning sessions are filled with heavy sighs of disbelief that you are actually asking that question, again, when she just told you (no, she didn't). I am not a confrontational professional and chose to leave rather than argue or try to prove anything. What is told to you upon hiring you is not what actually happens when you run into problems. I have cared for very complicated post surgical patients for years and yet asking a simple computer question got me stares, attitude and made me feel stupid. I have not written a negative review about any company before but I feel that if I can alleviate a nurse's stress, or validate an employee's opinion, then I should. Instead of teaching and allowing you to actually perform the computer work and learn it, it would be done in front of me, a hundred miles an hour, by someone who has been doing it day and night for a long time, while I sat on a 15 inch stuffed ottoman, hardly able to see the screen. That is when I realized it was a lose-lose.
There are some good people there, but unfortunately they are overshadowed by the negativity and blatant rudeness of staff who should be helping and teaching, not condescending and mean. None of the perks make up for all of the stress involved. At the start I worried about hospice nursing being a stressor---it is not at all, it's the management staff who causes all the stress.
I was willing to work 7 days/wk in the beginning to learn the job and become proficient. Given the appropriate training I would still be working there as I loved my patients and they respected me and felt safe with my care--that was awesome. Just not able to perform under that level of stress being made to feel dumb while the management staff sits in the office enjoying all the perks that the field staff rarely has access to--a refrigerator full of snacks/drinks, nice break room. I feel I was deceived at the beginning with the person who hired me saying "we only hire the best?" then he and a family member who also worked there were terminated for illegal things going on. Seriously!?
There are some amazing nurses who have been there a long time and are a credit to their profession and a blessing to their patients. They are able to rise above the negative "stuff" and that is great. I did not have the strength to be brow-beaten and feel good about where I worked so I took my skills somewhere else where I am happy and very much appreciated. Follow your heart! Read less

As for a company with high standards and loving care and compassion this is a great company they really do care about there patients and in the quality of care they get but as a family regardless of what anyone says every company has problems no company is perfect... Read more that is why people should learn to work together butt even family members fight and that is what I saw this company as when I worked with them we were family we got through good and we got through bad time.
