Read moreI was out at your parents' home, I did initially say I would call, and your mother said I could leave a message as she probably would not pick up. I then suggested I send an email, so she didn't have to try and remember everything I said in the voicemail, as well as not feel as pressured to respond immediately. She was amenable to that option, so that is what I did. I have exchanged several emails and phone calls with your mother as we make our way through deciding what services she wanted in addition to what had been previously arranged. This did include scheduling with the cemetery (the date of which had not been communicated to me until the middle of the week), which I had explained to her may take some extra time since your father did not have a pre-eligibility certificate and the cemetery would need to verify with other entities before scheduling. She understood, and has been incredibly understanding through this entire process, which I have unending appreciation for. I had informed her the evening I picked up your father that he would most likely be ready to be picked up in 10-14 days, and as you mentioned, it had been 7 days at time of this review. Late in the afternoon on the 27th, we had just received the urn that she had ordered in the mail. I had promised her that when he was ready to be picked up, I would tell her, as well as when I had more information pertaining to the cemetery. I, and we, make consistent communication with families a priority, but if there is nothing more to update them on, calling just to say "Nothing more to report" doesn't make much sense. I do hope that moving forward your experience with our business improves and that we finalize things with the cemetery soon. I would be happy to discuss this further with you if you have anything else you would like to address.
