Walter Hager — Worst place I ever been too. Betts and West in Nicholasville is 100 times better by far. They have rudest staff who came up to my wife as she's weeping over her mother's body asking for the rest of the payment on the funeral which we had in my wallet. Adam — I DO NOT recommend this funeral home. During my mother's funeral, they provided a different and smaller room than what was requested and paid for. The smaller room was unable to accommodate the crowd.

Limousine service to the graveyard was purchased. The funeral director was instructed, multiple... Read more times, that three people were to ride in the limo: father, son, and grandmother. These were also the same three individuals that were the last to leave the building as they shake hands and greet everyone on the way out. Nobody else was to ride in the limo. After the funeral service when the three individuals were to enter the limo, it was full of other family members. The funeral director did not attempt to politely ask them to exit the limo. Father, son and grandmother, were forced to drive their own car, behind the limo to the graveyard. The funeral director should have gotten involved when this was brought to his attention.

The makeup on the body did not look professional or natural. It was too heavy. The skin was whitened up to an extreme level and there was too much rouge applied. She looked like a circus clown with a white face and red dots on the cheeks. I will note that I have been to several funerals at this location and have typically been unimpressed with their makeup skills. However, my mother was at the extreme end of poor quality.

The outdoor portion for the graveside service did not take place anywhere near the graveside. It took place at the other end of the cemetery. When confronted about the location of the chairs, the funeral director initially claimed that the ground by the plot was too wet. My father drove to the actual plot and inspected the ground and it was dry. When confronted a second time the funeral director then admitted that a previous funeral took place earlier that week and he did not want to pay a crew to pack up and move the chairs since it was at the same cemetery and this particular cemetery is about as far as they travel within their radius.

The funeral director was unprofessional and made false promises and statements. Due to the level of service provided by the funeral director, I would rather hire someone else.

This funeral took place several years ago. I am writing the review now, because it still upsets me how poorly this funeral was run. I waited several years to write this review to ensure that no emotion would cloud the accuracy of the review. Read less
