Spanning a staggering 1,250 acres of land, this cemetery is among the largest national cemeteries in the nation. Serving as a dedicated resting place for veterans and their eligible family members, this sacred space focuses on honoring those who have served our country. The cemetery not only provides standard burial honors but also features over 200 acres set aside for a natural burial ground. Notably, Riverside National Cemetery is also home to a Medal of Honor Memorial and has the honor of hosting major observances for Memorial and Veterans Day each year.
