End-of-life care is unique to every individual, and every story deserves to be told with respect and dignity. Ether's certified Death Doula, Mary, has been offering care to individuals on their Death journey since 2019 and became certified in 2022. Mary offers a wraparound approach to care, prioritizing legacy work, last wishes, and respectful rituals to comfort those at the end of their lives. She also works with family and others to offer guidance in conversation, relationship, and reconciliation if desired.
Mary works with each family from the beginning of their end-of-life journey through to multiple visits with bereaved families following their loved one's death. She also offers services in funeral planning and is licensed through the State of South Dakota to officiate funerals and memorial services.

How much experience do you have in your field?
I have been practicing end-of-life care since 2019 and became certified as a Death Doula through The International End-Of-Life Doula Association (INELDA) in 2022. I have sat vigil with dozens of individuals approaching their end-of-life experience and have worked with their families following the loss of their loved one.

What is your fee structure and pricing?
Depending on the progression of the dying journey, my fee ranges from $25-$40 per hour. Sliding scale is available through discussion. If you have questions about financial need, please feel free to open the conversation.

I specialize in legacy projects, end-of-life care, creating space with intent, reconciliation with loved ones, funeral planning, officiating services, ritual care, and family grief work.
