Reduce family stress
About Sarah Hill
I support both those who are dying and the constellation of care that surrounds them. Together my clients and I co-create a safe and deeply human place from which to explore, process, grieve, open, connect, and unfold through one's dying time. I am a staunch ally to BIPOC and LGBTQ++ communities, a member of the Bay Area End of Life Doula Alliance, and a graduate of INELDA.

Frequently asked questions

-
How much experience do you have in your field?
I trained with INELDA in 2017, and continued my training until I formally entered the field in 2019. My deep background in Organization Development / Change Management informs my work as a doula, and is both a differentiator and asset in finding creative and customized solutions in support of my clients. I am recognized within my local community as a well-networked, trusted and knowledgeable doula, and am currently mentoring new doulas.

What is your fee structure and pricing?
I offer both an hourly rate and packaged rates for services. We can work together to customize our engagement to meet your specific needs and areas of interest. Contact me for pricing details.

What can families expect when working with you?
My clients describe me as approaching my work from an emotionally engaged and intuitively aware place, with equal capacity to provide support with the pragmatic essentials needed at the end of life. I’m enthused to support “getting things in order”, and will be as fulfilled to facilitate the creative process to support a legacy or memorial project, no matter how small or large. I derive great satisfaction from all facets of my work, but no doubt my favorite aspect is the connections and bonds that tend to emerge organically during this full-of-potential time. Creating and allowing space to just be with what is is essential to this work.

What services do you specialize in?
I'm a full spectrum doula, which means I work with clients who don't have a terminal diagnosis in sight (Planning Ahead, i.e. Advance Directives, Death Contemplation, etc.), with those who are terminally ill (End of Life Options education and support, Life Review / Legacy Projects), with clients who are actively dying (Vigil Support, Medical Aid in Dying), and post-mortem support for my clients and their loved ones (Celebrancy and Memorial Planning).
