What is the history of St. Joseph Cemetery?
Founded in 1878, St. Joseph Cemetery, a not for profit cemetery, is overseen by a local board of directors and is one of the most beautiful, prestigious cemeteries in the area. The cemetery has 25 acres of developed land and 12 acres of undeveloped land. Stunning trees grace the grounds and many stand guard along the main roadway and throughout the area. The well kept lawns, with blended shrubbery give the cemetery a park like appearance. Elegant statues, a water fountain, flower beds and other features can be found throughout the cemetery, as well as a lannon stone chapel, which is one of the cemetery's picturesque landmarks.
