What's the process to purchase a plot like from Oakwood Cemetery?
When you come in the office, we can show you all the areas on a map, but once you have narrowed down your selection, Brian will take you to the area and help you find just the right location. Our lovely Buhl Chapel is available for services for a small fee. Grave prices run from $400.00 to $600.00, columbarium prices are $1600.00 for single and $2100.00 for double. Interment is $1100.00 for full burials and $550.00 for cremation burials. We also have pre-needs available for Interment and Headstone Date of Death Engravings.

What is the history of Oakwood Cemetery?
Although Oakwood Cemetery Association was established in 1866, there are burials here from the Revolutionary War due to Sharon disallowing cemeteries in the city. Bodies were moved from all the Sharon city cemeteries to Oakwood Cemetery (office is in Sharon, but the cemetery is in Hermitage) in 1876.

What sets you apart from other cemeteries?
Oakwood Cemetery office is staffed Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (excluding holidays), and we can be available on Saturday by appointment. Our newest section is Highland Meadows, which is a green burial location. Call or stop in to find out what green burial is and see the area.
