I am robert mclenon, I know this cemetery is limping along on a limited budget. My parents charles and lizzy mclenon , are buried in the armed forces section. Not sure who..if anyone actually maintains it. As this is September 30th national day for truth and reconciliation, I attended their burial site is do a bit of clean up. I must say, their site is a complete disgrace...half buried under a big pile of dirt and stones..not a blade of grass. They have been gone now for a number of years, but I for one wish better for their final resting place. They were not garbage to be part of left over materials. Possibly this is under the neglected duties of the canadian legion. I just don't know, but wish for better . Respect for those who served . My mother has a history involving residential homes...so, this hurt continues, even on this national day of truth and reconciliation. Yes, tears are flowing today at such a sight. – Robert M.

I believe that I’m contacting the correct cemetery. My mother Marion Ward-Dunn has already purchased a plot for her ashes beside my father Kenneth Ward who passed away in 1988. She’ll be 90 next year and is getting pretty fragile in health. She has dementia so I can’t ask her about this. What is the protocol when she passes away? I’m her oldest child and POA.
