Q&A

Thank you for your prompt reply to my above request for information concerning graves for Alanson Harvey Ward, his wife and daughter. If you don't find records for them being buried in the Worcester Rural Cemetery, can you tell me who IS buried in section 3 lot 674? Or is that classified information? Thank you for any help. – Julian W.

Hello again, I am happy to help. Our records are open to the public. We don't have a Lot 674 located in Section 3. Lot 674 is located in Section 27 in our cemetery, which is located along the back Prescott Street border. It is a 10-grave lot housing the White/Knight family, with interments ranging from the late 1800's-early 1900's.
Do you have a plot with graves for Alanson Harvey Ward (1834 - 1903), his wife, Harriet E. Ferry Ward, (1836 - 1860), and their daughter, Harriet Ferry Ward, (1860 - 1869)? An AI query identified a plot for them there in "section 3, lot 674", but I have learned to be sceptical about information from AI! Can you verify that these three individuals are buried there? (or not) – Julian W.

Hi Julian, I have searched our records and while we do have a number of Ward's buried here, we do not have the 3 you mentioned. It is possible that they could be buried in another "Rural Cemetery" which is not affiliated with us. I recommend contacting the city clerk's office where the deaths took place, if that is known. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions.
