Hello, I'm doing family research and think my great-great uncle may be buried in the cemetery. He was Siegfried (Simon) Isenberg 1873-1968 (possibly 64). He was born in Germany, but I believe he lived in Peoria. Thank you for any information you can provide, Ann Antrich (UK)
– Ann A.
Yes, he was born in Germany (in Dransfeld near Göttingen) into a Jewish family. He married a Jewish woman in 1900, but the marriage was divorced in 1904.
In 1905 he emigrated to the USA and settled in Peoria.
Presumably around 1930, he entered into a second marriage with a Lutheran woman from Austria and converted to the Lutheran Church himself.
