I have a distant cousin who supposedly is buried at Oakridge (according to his death certificate). I was hoping someone could verify this for me. His name was Charles L. Merkel, born 18 September 1898. He died on 11 April 1950 and was buried on 13 April. I had requested that someone from Find-a-Grave take a picture of his tombstone, but no one ever responded to my request. Jacqueline Little — Dear Mr. Harvey: My name is MS. Little. My daughter Lovvion Little was laid to rest in your in Hillside, IL facility in December of 2016. She is placed in the garden of eternity, 87 D1. I am writing because I have several issues with the facility. In the last past year, I have placed items on her resting... Read more place which has not infringe on anyone else. These items were removed without my knowledge or consent. Them item are expensive. I feel like my money has went in the trash. I am carefully to adhere to the cleaning seasons. During those months I remove my items. I have contacted the facility at six times this year. I have been getting mixed information. Then I was told there are only certain things allowed. I have been doing this for four in a half years. Why now. Further the maintenance is terrible. There always grass, weeds, and geese poop all other the place. So, it couldn’t possibly for maintenance as I was told. I am a frequent visitor and I have had to clean from around my daughter’s resting place and several of my relatives that are around her. I would like to know who is going to reimburse me for my money spent? I would also like what reason is there remove items from what I consider my property because I paid for the plot as long, I don’t infringe on anyone else’s? This has occurred at least six times this year during a pandemic. I also have other relatives right there who has only had one or two decorations which removed. I have relatives who had no decorations, and the stones were sinked in and weeds growing out of them still. You all also sell decorations, so you are asking us to just throw our money away after buying from you? Are you aware that you get ratings on certain sites and social media? I do give reviews and I will contact the news if nothing if done about this. Some of us visit their loves ones after they pass on. That was my only daughter and I want her resting place to look nice because that’s the way she lived, and I love her. I truly hope we can come some resolution. Can you also speak to your staff about giving information to strangers? My ex visited my daughter and one of the ladies told him that she told me I put too much stuff down. We never had the conversation. She had no business talking to a stranger regarding me. I would like to keep my baby looking nice without having to constantly replacing items. Why can’t we put what we want on our loves resting place if it doesn’t interfere with anyone else’s? Looking for to hearing from you. The staff is providing false information so you can't contact the owner. Read less
