My father purchased a burial plot for me however he has passed on and I no longer wish to be placed there. Is it possible for me to sell my plot back?

My grandfather was buried there years ago and my mother just recently. My question is how come it cost $6 hundred and something for grandfather and now for same process for motther it cost 10 thousand. Is the ground different, does the tractor that digs the hole run on different kind of gas, I just don't understand. Death is a sad situation then on top of dealing with the death we have to worry about the cemetery robbing us as well. I can except a Lil up charge but not that much. Maybe I should look into opening one. If you could please explain to me how to open a cemetery so I can treat people right. – James K.
