I drive 5 hours from Florida twice a year to clean my families graves. The last three years I have not been allowed to enter the cemetery because of a funeral happening. Our plots are no where near these other funerals take place. Our family has been buried there since 1962. We came early this past Sunday (8:00am) to find all the gates closed. Your posted hours are 8am - 5pm. We are having to park on the street which is dangerous and hop over the fence to get to our loves ones resting place. This is unacceptable. Please explain. – Andra G.

My GrandDaughter was buried at Oakland Cemetery on Warrior Rd, B'ham, Al. , on December 18, 2021, and we never put a tombstone on her Grave. I'm purchasing a tombstone from Carved Impressions. I have a picture of the tombstone but before I purchase it, they will need a written letter that you will accept this tombstone at Oakland. I can send you a picture and all the details you need. Julia Norton — It is an old cemetery. I was able to locate two of my relatives in the records, but only one with a marked stone in the yard. Nicole Swanson — My husband was buried there on October 24, 2020 we paid for his headstone and they haven't placed it yet it's June 28 2021, said it got lost in storage.They are unprofessional I only chose this place because I could visit often and it was close to his high school. A big mistake!!!!

Clifford Hopson — My uncle was buried here years ago. Went to check on the grave site this past weekend. I was pleasantly surprised on how the staff treated me and the up-keep of the grounds. Thank you Mr. Tarver for keeping this place looking good for our loved ones.
