Zedrick's obituary

Zedrick Aurelio, 26, of Chicago passed away following a courageous struggle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones at home. His family is deeply saddened by this loss.

Zedrick was born on October 9, 1994 to Mariana and Alfredo in Puebla, Mexico. After graduating from Instituto Mexico in Puebla in 2012, Zedrick attended Universidad Popular Autonóma del Estado de Puebla and Universidad de las Americas Puebla with a focus in Industrial Engineering. After moving back to Chicago in 2015, Zedrick worked early mornings at Nordstrom Rack.

He loved driving in his Audi, building Star Wars Legos, and taking tequila shots until sunrise. Zedrick was a kind individual who could make anyone smile with his contagious personality. You could find him watching Friends after eating carnitas on a typical Sunday afternoon. Anyone who knew Zedrick knew that he brought people together with laughter. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

Zedrick is survived by his parents Mariana Garcia and Alfredo Aurelio; his brothers Fernando and Andres; and his dog Toby. He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.

The family requests that donations be made to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Organization International in lieu of flowers. Zedrick requested that there be no in-person gatherings held in his honor at this time.
