It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Zaida Ivelisse Negron Ortiz. Zaida was born on December 18, 1975 to her parents Benjamin Negron and Hilda Serrano Negron and was the younger sister to Ricardo Negron. Zaida passed away at the age of 48 on August 20, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor Ortiz and her beautiful daughter, Serinity Negron. We kindly ask that you keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Zaida developed an autoimmune disease in 2018 that affected her body over time. Although she fought long and hard under the care of many physicians, the illness became too advanced, and her time here with us was taken unexpectedly. Zaida was a very private and intentional person, keeping her pain silent in order to keep relationships positive. To her last day, she kept the feelings of others above her own. She carried a spiritual and beautiful soul that touched the lives of many. Let us remember the good times we shared with her and cherish the memories that she has left with us all. Rest in paradise Zaida.
