Zaida's obituary

Zaida Ayala, 88, of Fairburn, GA, passed away on January 30, 2023 at peace in her home, surrounded by her loved ones, of natural causes. Pre-deceased by a sister Natalie Allen and a brother Harris Francis Comack-Gibson.

Ms. Ayala was born on June 05, 1934, in Camaguey, Cuba to parents Erik Comack-Walker & Iris Gibson-Fanders. She was the youngest of three children who immigrated to America in the 1960's. She had a heart of gold; she helped many people in her life. She even took a few homeless friends down their luck. She was a proud Muslim, converting to Islam at age 70. Her spiritual journey led to Mecca, to the annual Hajj (pilgrimage).

Ms. Ayala was an accomplished hair-dresser owning her own beauty salon for 44 years, in Harlem, NY. She was a master gardener. Her traveling spirit led her across the world.

She was devoted to her family in every way imaginable. If she could help you in any way she would.

Ms. Ayala is survived by her son Robert and daughter-law Mia and Grandson Brenden Ayala. She was a beloved aunt.
