Zack's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Zack Allen, Jr., who entered into rest on December 24, 2023. He was born on June 4, 1953, a beacon of light and love we were blessed to have.
He leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories cherished by his beloved wife Diane Allen, his devoted daughter Brandi Johnson (Wayne), and his proud son Zack W Allen III (Chelsea) and host of grandchildren, nieces and nephew. His love for his family was a testament to his character, as he encouraged them to persist in the face of adversity.
Zack was a faithful attendee of Freemount CME Church. He demonstrated his commitment to service through tireless volunteering efforts at the Cub Scout Den Leader, Jack and Jill of America Foundation, National Black Child Development Institute, and Girl Scouts. His generous spirit and dedication to serving others have left an indelible mark on every life he touched.
With a knack for finding joy in the simplest of things, Zack had an array of favorites that he held dear- from Oyster PoBoys and Soul Food to the tunes of Prince and Jeffrey Osbourne. He enjoyed watching TV shows like NCIS and Law & Order, and passionately supported the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints. A fan of classic games such as Tetris and Solitaire, Zack's leisure time often involved Traveling and Watching Football.
Described best as Intelligent, Charismatic, Loving, Funny, Kind, and Motivating, Zack was a beacon of positivity. His words of wisdom echoed the lessons he held dear-'Put God and your family first.'
One of Zack's proud accomplishments was seeing his children succeed in life. His legacy, woven with threads of philanthropy and love, is a testament to his life well-lived. His footprints on the sands of time are a reminder of his dedication and the lives he has touched.
A funeral service for Zack will be held on January 5, 2024, at 7:00 PM at St John Ame Church. We invite all who had the pleasure of knowing Zack to join us in celebrating a life beautifully lived.
