YVONNE's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Yvonne Marie Salikin, who departed this life on June 25, 2025. Born on May 17, 1952, after a long battle with her health. She passed away with her family by her side .Yvonne, made a significant and loving impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Yvonne was a pillar of strength, her resilience a testament to her robust character. Her beauty extended far beyond the physical, radiating from her kind and loving heart. She was tough, yet tender, providing a fortress of love and support for those close to her. Yvonne was a remarkable woman, her absence will leave a void that can never be filled. Her memory will, however, serve as a beacon of love, strength and kindness.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Brandy Salikin, and her cherished son, Shaun Salikin. Her partner, Jim Sherwood, and her ex-husband, Lawrence Salikin, also survive her. Her legacy continues through them, their memories carrying forth her spirit. Also all her beautiful grand children Jahvonta, Jahliyah, Jahlisa, Jaheem , Adriana and baby Chloe and Also her fur babies Tyson and Jewels who will all miss her so deeply.
A memorial service in honor of Yvonne will be held at 11am on July 4, 2025, at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home. At 157 main St South in Newmarket .Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to join. Reception after As we celebrate her life, until 2p with food and drinks .we will inevitably remember her loving nature, her strength, and the beauty of her spirit that touched us all. There's a pub next door if anyone wants to stick around for drink.
Yvonne's departure is a poignant reminder of the transient nature of life. Our lives were enriched by her presence, and we will dearly miss her. As we mourn her loss, we celebrate the incredible life she led, forever holding her in our hearts. She was, and always will be, a truly amazing woman. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Always remembered and never forgotten
