Yvonne's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Jackson, affectionately known by her family as Mama. Yvonne was called home unexpectedly on June 14, 2025.
Yvonne was born on May 27, 1955 to Fred & Virginia Jackson in the Bronx, New York. She was the third of seven children, Shirley Jackson, Brenda (BJ) Jackson, Fred (Shortie)Jackson Jr., Almeda (Pam) Jackson, Curtis Jackson, and Rowena Jackson.
Yvonne lived a life filled with warmth, spiced with a hint of sass that brightened up all our lives. She was a woman of strong faith - She loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, with all her heart.
Yvonne had a robust appetite for life, reflected in her love for simple pleasures like her affordable yet stylish clothing finds, in addition to her sweet treats. Not to mention her affinity for the cute wigs she rocked as if they were designed with her specifically in mind. Her favorite drink was Coca Cola, an indulgence that many fond memories are tied to and that her grandaughters share. She was a lady full of warmth, a dash of spice, and plenty of sass! Yvonne was small in stature, but her presence was mighty - always full of energy & spunk. Her vivacious spirit made her incredibly loved by those blessed enough to know her.
Yvonne was the matriarch of this family, gone too soon, but never forgotten. She is survived by her two children, Necole and Errol, and her devoted son-in-law, Hashon. She leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Danyelle, Lashona, Ashley, Hashon Jr., Dymond, and Errol Jr. Her legacy continues even further through four cherished great-grandchildren: Leilani, Josiah, Riley, and Zoe. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Pam, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who knew and loved her dearly.
Her untimely passing creates a void that cannot be filled. While her presence will be deeply missed, her indomitable spirit and zest for life will be remembered fondly by those she left behind. Though we mourn and greive her physical presence, we rejoice in knowing that she is now resting in the eternal presence of our Lord and Savior. Her life was a testament to faith, family, and love. Rest in eternal peace, Mama.
