Yvonne B. Herr, 85, of Oxford, PA, passed away at home on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Born in Chester County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Angie Kilgore Boyd (Nottingham, PA).

Yvonne was a long-standing member of Nottingham Presbyterian Church and over the years served as Elder and Deacon as well as directed the church choir.

Beloved teacher and chorus accompanist, Yvonne dedicated 30 years working at the Oxford Area School District Intermediate School and then Elk Ridge School, before retiring in 1997. She later returned to the classroom to substitute teach for many years. Her renowned firm yet kind approach to helping all students achieve positively impacted multiple generations in the area.

Yvonne was an avid reader, good cook, and music enthusiast. She enjoyed bowling, going out for breakfast or ice cream, beach vacations, as well as spending time with family and friends. Her quick wit and unwavering willingness to help others will especially be missed.

Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Karen Feeney (Ed Quinn) of Oaklyn, NJ; son, Michael F. Feeney (Linda) of Oxford; two grandchildren, Rachael Feeney and Michael D Feeney; sister-in-law, Drusilla Boyd of TX; niece, Wendi Threlkeld (Bryan) of TX; and nephew, Eric Boyd, AR. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Boyd.

A public service in celebration of her life will be held 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Nottingham Presbyterian Church, 497 W. Christine Rd., Nottingham, PA. Funeral reception will be held immediately afterwards in the Foundation Room of the Nottingham Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be at Nottingham Cemetery, Cemetery Rd., Nottingham, PA at 3:00 pm.
