Yung's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yung Colen, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Yung passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on April 18, 1942 Daegu, Korea. Yung lived a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.

Yung is survived by her loving daughter, Sara Brown, who was a constant source of support and comfort throughout Yung's life. As a mother and friend, Yung's caring nature and strong spirit left an indelible impression on all who knew her.

Known for her excellent taste in food, Yung was an aficionado of both Korean and Italian cuisine. She relished every opportunity to share a meal with family and friends, creating cherished memories around the dinner table. Yung's love of Garth Brooks' music was well-known, and her appreciation for his talent brought joy to many gatherings and celebrations.

In her free time, Yung enjoyed playing cards, visiting Atlantic City, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her favorite color, blue, was a reflection of her calm and serene nature that put others at ease. Yung's love for her family and friends was boundless, providing a sense of warmth and unity to everyone fortunate enough to be a part of her life.

Yung Colen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She leaves behind long time companion Roger Rock, Daughter Sara Brown (Kevin) Long Branch, NJ, son John Colen, Long Branch ,NJ, grandson Nick Colen, Oil City,PA, granddaughter Brikney Baxter (Luvy) Charlotte,NC, Shannel Armstrong (Malachi), Haslet, TX and 5 great grandchildren. She had adopted others that came into her life. Her kindness, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. As we come together to celebrate Yung's life, let us remember the joy, laughter, and love she brought into our lives.
