Yordanny's obituary
In Loving Memory of Yordanny Hidalgo
December 17, 1991 – December 7, 2024
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Yordanny Hidalgo, who left us peacefully in his sleep on December 7, 2024, just days before his 33rd birthday. Born on December 17, 1991, in the Dominican Republic, Yordanny’s life was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth he brought to everyone he met.
Yordanny grew up in Sleepy Hollow, surrounded by his close-knit family and friends. He graduated from Sleepy Hollow High School in 2010 and later joined the Marine Reserves in 2013, showing his dedication and strength. During his teenage years, he worked at the Boys and Girls Club in Tarrytown, where he made a difference in the lives of young people with his kindness and humor.
Music was Yordanny’s quiet passion. He spent years writing lyrics as a way to express himself, though he kept this gift mostly to himself. Music was his escape and brought him comfort in hard times.
Yordanny had a way of lighting up any room. He was funny, kind, and always ready to make those around him smile. His gentle soul and playful spirit drew people in, and his friendships were deeply cherished.
He is survived by his loving mother, Mirian Almonte; his brother, Jhan Carlos Hidalgo; his sister, Marianny Hidalgo; his grandmother, Juana Almonte.
Yordanny will be missed more than words can ever say. His family and friends will forever remember his laughter, his big heart, and the love he gave so freely.
Rest peacefully, Yordanny. You are loved always.
