Yolande's obituary

Yolande Lindor, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the age of 67. She was surrounded by the love of her children, siblings, nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends in her final moments.

Born on October 5, 1957, in Lagonave, Haiti, Yolande was the daughter of Ermilus Lindor and Philomène Elysée. Raised in a close-knit family, she carried the values of faith, kindness, and resilience throughout her life. She immigrated to the United States in 1980 to build a better future for herself and her loved ones.

Yolande was the proud mother of three children—Bob St Louis, Stephanie Washington, and Terry Duran Lowery—and a loving grandmother to twelve grandchildren: Abimaelle St Louis, Hananeel St Louis, Isabel St Louis, Adriel St Louis, Ziiya Poindexter, Zhaysha Poindexter, Zauria Poindexter, Masterson Poindexter III, Zimora Poindexter, Trenton Lowery, Tremani Lowery, and Terryce Lowery. She was a guiding light in the lives of all who knew her—cherished for her gentle spirit, strong faith, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She spent many years serving as a Home Health Aide in West Palm Beach, Florida, where her care, compassion, and dedication touched countless lives. Yolande was a devoted member of Grace Community Church (formerly Northwood United Methodist Church), where she faithfully worshiped and served. Her deep faith in God was the foundation of her life, and she walked in grace, gratitude, and quiet strength every day.

In her free time, Yolande loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was known for her warm laughter, her joyful spirit, and her ability to uplift others with love and humor. Her home was always filled with hospitality, faith, and encouragement.

Yolande is survived by her children, grandchildren, and her siblings: Esperance Saint Louis, Edner Lindor, Rodrigue Lindor, Rémy Lindor, Enaud Lindor, Robert Lindor, Eliane Lindor, Lise Lindor Albert, Norma Lindor, Marceline Viljean, and Ester Lindor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ermilus Lindor and Philomène Elysée, and her beloved sisters: Elienne Lindor, Vayola Lindor Edmond, and Margaret Lindor.

A celebration of Yolande’s life will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Philadelphia Church of the Newborns, located at 3223 Commerce Place, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. A viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM.

A wake service and viewing will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Grace Community Church, located at 4015 Spruce Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, beginning at 7:00 PM.
