Ylonda Grigsby Jordan Brown

Ylonda Brown, age 75, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2:30 am 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 17th 1949, Yolanda was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and dear friend to many.

Ylonda is survived by her three children: Bryan Grigsby, Gerald Jordan, and Tyanna Jordan. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Shalina Perry, Samika, Perry, Gerald Love Jordan, Bryant Grigsby Jr, Jazmin Love Jordan, Jalen Bryan Love Jordan & Jala Ylonda Love Jordan, and was preceded in death by her oldest granddaughter, Shalina.  Ylonda was the loving great-grandmother to seven beautiful great-grandchildren. Yolanda is also survived by her two younger sisters, twin sister Sharlene Staggs and youngest sister Latisha Grigsby, and her youngest brother, Jonathan Grigsby. Ylonda was preceded in death by her parents, Odell Grigsby and Gladys Grigsby and brother Kevin Grigsby. 

Known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love, Ylonda dedicated her life to her family and close friends. Ylonda was actively involved in the lives of her family and her compassionate, strong spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

In light of current circumstances, a video memorial was developed by Ylonda's loving grandchildren, in honor of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, cousin, and dear friend to celebrate Ylonda’s life and legacy. Please join us online to share your memories and pay your respects. 

Ylonda’'s legacy of love, kindness, peace and strength will continue to live on, through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, cousins, family and friends.  Ylonda, Mom, Grandmom, Nana will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
