Yesenia's obituary
Yesenia Zujeiry Dejesus - Guzman was born on March 14, 1985 in Puerto Rico. She came to Philadelphia when she was 19 and started her life where she lived and worked hard everyday to become what she is today. She is the most beautiful, intellegent and bright woman that we know. Her family knows her by the name Yessie. She didn't have many close friends but her oldest daughter, her sister Letty, and of course her wonderful companion Jose. Yessie starting working with Jose for 7 months as his caretaker. They helped each other with everything and became really good friends quite after.. She saw a father figure in him and loved him as if he were a father to her. Yessie was a single mother who enjoyed spending time with her children, cooking her favorite dishes and listening to her preferred music. Our mother had extreme OCD so everything had to be placed neatly and explicitly clean. Yessie had an admiration to go Paris so she studied French with her oldest daughter Serenity at times. Serenity and her younger siblings promised that they would take their mother to Paris to fulfill her dream before the time was cut short. We hope to fulfill her dream one day! She was such a strong woman despite her challenges she never gave up to give her children the world. Yessie never gave up on her children, each and every one. Of course her children were flawed and imperfect but she loved them in everyway possible and her children loved her unconditionally!
She is survived by her children Serenity Zujeiry Negron - Dejesus of- 18 years old, Angel Lopez of 17 years old, Ailiany Marie Dejesus of 12 years old, Syncere Victor Cantres of 6 years old, and her mother Enid Guzman.
Her brother Luis Gabriel Dejesus whom is deceased, a bunch of living sisters, her second brother Bert, her cousins, nieces, and nephews will miss her real character dearly! Our mother would've wanted everyone to remember the good memories and not the bad. She would want us all to celebrate her life when she was alive but also to carry on her memory in vain. She knows her family is filled with grief and guilt. Her family is very imperfect with many flaws but have much love for this wonderful woman we call mom, sister, aunt, cousin and niece. In this moment of grief we need to cherish every moment of everlasting life. Our mother was taken from us too soon but it was God's timing for her to go home. We call out to her name in memory of a beautiful soul..
