Yael's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yael Omar Hernandez, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, who left this world too soon on July 25, 2025, in Sardinia, Ohio, at the age of 30. Born on May 23, 1995, Omar lived his life with a passion and vigor that inspired all who knew him.

Omar was a devoted family man, married to Iashia Brown. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and joy. The couple was blessed with two beautiful children, Selena, age 10, and Miguel, age 7, who were the light of Omar’s life. He took immense pride in being a father and cherished every moment spent with his children, teaching them the values of hard work, kindness, and the love of nature.

Professionally, Omar was known as a hard worker, dedicating his skills and time to his role as an operator and pipe layer at Siler Excavation. His colleagues admired him not only for his strong work ethic but also for his unwavering support and camaraderie. Omar’s commitment to his craft was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends.

In his free time, Omar was passionate about hunting and fishing, often taking trips to enjoy the great outdoors. He found solace in nature, and these hobbies were more than mere pastimes; they were opportunities for him to bond with his loved ones. Omar also had a talent for drawing, a skill he enjoyed sharing with his children, fostering their creativity and love for art.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Omar will remember him not just for his industrious spirit but also for his generosity, loyalty, and the joy he brought into their lives. He was a great friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand or an attentive ear. His warm smile and infectious laughter will be deeply missed.

Omar is survived by his loving wife, Iashia Brown; his cherished children, Selena and Miguel; and a host of family and friends who were fortunate to have known him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, determination, and the importance of family that will continue to thrive in the hearts of those he touched.

The memory of Yael Omar Hernandez will live on in the stories shared by his family and friends, in the laughter of his children, and in the beauty of the nature he cherished. As we mourn his loss, we celebrate the incredible life he lived and the love he gave so freely.

A visitation service of Omar’s life will be held on August 6th, 2025 at Sardinia Hope Church 105 South Main St. Sardinia, Ohio where family and friends are invited to share their memories and honor a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice that supports family and youth initiatives, reflecting Omar’s values and the love he had for his family.

Rest in peace, Omar. Your spirit will forever shine bright in the hearts of those who love you.
