Loving father and brother, Mr. Xavier Nelson, passed away on August 19th, 2023 after a short battle with Liver Cancer. Xavier was 42 and was surrounded by many loving family members when he passed.

Xavier, born to Virdie & David Nelson on June  10, 1981 in Dallas,Texas . A member of the church from a very young age, Xavier participated in Youth For Christ at Christ Willing Workers Missionary Baptist Church alongside his family members. Andrew attended South Oak Cliff High School .

While in school, Xavier realized his passion for basketball. He attended Bishop College and developed his skills as a college basketball player.

After graduation, Xavier went on to be a teacher in the Mansfield Independent School District. He was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others and was an integral part of of our church, Christ Willing Workers Missionary Baptist Church.

A loyal servant to God, Xavier spent many of his hours dedicating his life to help people in need. Now that Xavier has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Xavier’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.

He is survived by many loving family members, including Cortland Nelson(brother) and Jarvis Hicks(son) .

Nehemiah 8:10 Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
