Benard "Pap" Howard, beloved father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 24, 2023, in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on January 16, 1955, in Jackson, Mississippi. Pap will be remembered as a heroic and compassionate individual, always there for his family when they needed him.

Pap is survived by his daughter Pam Claiborne, his brother Leroy and Teresa Howard, two granddaughters Crystal Claiborne and DarAsia Golidy, and his great-grandchildren Tyron Claiborne, Emery Taylor, Jamarion Claiborne, DaiVaughn Stimage, Zinne Hayes, and Zior Hayes. He leaves behind four generations of offspring who will cherish his loving memory.

Pap was preceded in death by his father, W.T Howard, and his grandson Rico Hayes.

The loss of Pap leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Pap's life will be held on a later date.
