Winston Eugene “Gene” Dunn, age 75, of Harrisburg, passed into the loving arms of his Lord on November 18, 2022. Gene was born on November 18, 1947, to the late Henry Dunn and Ruthie Pearl (Hicks) Dunn in Paragould.

Gene was a wonderful, kind person who worked for the highway department for 40 years, and proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He is best known as the world’s greatest husband, dad, papa, and uncle.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his father in-law and mother in-law, Hardin and Arbie Mae Garner; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and his great-grandson, Blake Eugene Moore.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 56 years, Delores Dunn; daughters, Ruth Dunn and Chasity (Keith) Moore; granddaughters, Maegan (Clint) Murphy and Chasity Moore; grandson, Brandon Moore; great-grandson, Henry Murphy; great-granddaughters, Arya Moore and Charleigh Murphy; as well as a host of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Mitchell Funeral Home with Brother David Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will immediately follow at New Friendship Cemetery in Paragould.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Brandon Moore, Clint Murphy, Allan Garner, Jeremy Lange, Tim Garner, and Stacy Garner. Honorary pallbearers will be Maegan Murphy, Chasity Moore, Henry Murphy, Arya Moore, and Charleigh Murphy.
