Willie J. Orta III, 46, of Manchaca, TX passed away Tuesday, December 25th, 2018 after a long illness. Mr. Orta was born November 19, 1972 in Taft, Tx to Willie Orta Jr. and Irene Jimenez. He attended Gregory-Portland High School and was a graduate of the 1991 class. Willie attended Texas A&I University where he proudly marched with the Javelina band. He was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity.
Willie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Matilde Jimenez, Victoria Jimenez, Willie Z. Orta and step-father Abraham Torres-Mendoza. Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart, Heather Rose Orta, son Willie M. Orta IV (Cassandra), parents Irene Jimenez and Willie Y. Orta Jr. (Brenda), sisters Marquita Orta and Sylvia Cruz (Isay), parents-in-law Juan and Aurora Marin, grandmother Nina Orta and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service, in honor of Willie, will be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at La Primera Iglesia Bautista in Taft, TX. All services will be private.
