Willie's obituary

Willie Mae Martin was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in her home in Marlborough, MA due to a long battle with cancer.

Willie Mae was born on July 15, 1945 in Kinston, NC to the late Pete and Sallie Smith. She was educated in the Lenoir County School System in North Carolina. After completing her education, she married Henry Martin and to this union was born four children.

She worked tirelessly for Raytheon Corp. for many, many years from where she retired. Mae then accepted Jesus Christ as her savoir and became a long time member of the Greater Framingham Community Church in Framingham, MA. Mae so loved the lord and her church, so much so she served in several ministries. Pastor's Aide, volunteered during bake sales, in which everyone lined up for her amazing cakes and pies that she was so passionate about. She was also a member of the Mission & Outreach and a long time volunteer with the Pearl Street Cupboard & Cafe'.

Mae loved her family and lived her dreams sharing all she could with her children, family and friends. She was a very rare gem of social grace, loved to laugh and entertain. She was very well loved by those who knew her. Mae was just that bright light that never dimmed or went out.

Mae is survived by her four children.
