Willie Joe Cobb was born June 28, 1956, in Washington Georgia. He was the 6th born to the late James Lee Cobb and Carrie Bell Cox Cobb. Willie Joe Cobb surrendered himself to Christ. He loved and cared for his loved ones. He enjoyed his family, and friends and loved fishing. Joe was employed as an appliance service technician in Akron Ohio. Willie Joe Cobb was wedded in Holy Matrimony to Patricia Calloway Cobb on September 26, 1976, in Washington Georgia. To this union, a child was born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lee Cobb and Carrie Bell Cox Cobb; sisters, Hattie Mae Cobb Cofer and Evelyn Gladmon; brothers, James Cobb, Johnny Lee Cobb, and Donald Cobb; in-laws, John Henery Calloway, and Ruby Mae Blair Calloway.

Willie Joe Cobb departed his life at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Summa Health System Hospital in Akron Ohio. He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving sons, Tico Deljaun Calloway of Raleigh, North Carolina, Ramel Freeman of Far Rockaway New York, Syrance Romel McNeil, Jayson McNeil, and his loving daughter Kanisha McNeil all of Durham, North Carolina; fourteen grandchildren, Angel Nicole Calloway, Stephon Deljaun Calloway, Stephany Nicole Calloway, Treyvon Deljuan Calloway, and Ticosha Nicole Calloway, all of Raleigh, North Carolina, Alexis April Elsie Freeman of Brooklyn, New York, Ramel McNeil Jr; Rah'mel McNeil, Ro'myiah McNeil, Zayvion Harper, Jayson McNeil, Ca'leah McNeil, Carson McNeil, and Lauren McNeil, all of Durham, North Carolina; three sisters, Florine (Thomas) Norman of Washington, GA, Mary Cobb of Far Rockaway, NY, and Juanita (Alan) Cobb of Mechanicsburg, PA; one brother, Ronnie Cobb of Far Rockaway, NY; in-laws Sharon Kaye Calloway of Raleigh, NC, Robert Lee Calloway, Dorothy Jean Calloway, and Johnny Calloway, all of Washington, GA, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
