With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Willie Wilson who was fondly known as “Miss Willie”. She was born on November 24, 1944, and passed away on her 81st birthday, November 24, 2025. Surviving Willie is her loving brother, Bobby Johnson, several nieces & nephews, beloved friend, Phil Boxley (Unc) & daughter, Marsha Wilson.

Willie's life will be celebrated at a reception on December 6, 2025, 10am. The gathering will be held at the Next Level Board Game Cafe, an apt venue for a woman who loved bringing people together.

Willie's generosity, humour, and spirited nature touched everyone she met throughout her life. She was a beacon of strength, while teaching us how to lead with conviction and grace. Her no-nonsense approach was a testament to the woman she was, fearless and steadfast. Yet, it was her love for children that truly set her apart, molding young minds for four decades as a dedicated teacher.

Her accomplishments were not just in the classroom; she had an outsized impact on the wider community. Willie helped countless families by extending her care, concern, and educational support beyond the school gates, a testament to her unyielding commitment to nurturing those around her.

Moving forward, we carry Willie's legacy with us - a legacy of generosity, leadership, kindness, and love. She was unforgettable, unique, and truly a loving person. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who were privileged to know her. Rest in peace, Willie. You have left an indelible imprint on our hearts, and you will be missed.
