With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Willie "Mike" Alston. Born on July 28, 1989, Willie left us too soon on May 8, 2025. Although sometimes known as Mike, he always held a preference for his given name, Willie.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Yolanda Alston, and his cherished daughters, Zekeyia Alston, and his older daughter. His memories will also be fondly cherished by his sisters, Juanita King, Vickie Neely, Jenny Cox, Ellen Alston, and Tiffany Belton, and his brother, Christopher Gordon. He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Alston. Willie also held a special place for his Foster Mom in his heart.

Willie was a man known for his silly, loving personality and was often the life of the party. His distinctive laughter and infectious smile created an atmosphere of joy that lingered long after he had left.

A proudest accomplishment of his was his children. He took pride in each of their successes and loved them with unwavering love, compassion and strength. His love was firm and strong; he never backed down, but when he loved, he loved deeply and wholly.

Willie is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and 2 great nephews. His enduring spirit and distinctive persona brought joy to the lives of all who knew him and he will be profoundly missed.

As we mourn Willie's passing, we are reminded of the love he shared and the joy he brought to our lives. Even in our grief, his memory brings a smile, a testament to the happiness and laughter he spread in his life.
